Mercy Sweet Success Program
The Mercy Sweet Success Program is a physician-referred program that addresses nutritional, medical and psychological issues concerning diabetes and pregnancy to help ensure that you have a healthy pregnancy and baby.
If you are either thinking about getting pregnant or you are already pregnant with diabetes (type 1, type 2 or gestational diabetes), your obstetrical provider who is delivering you at any CHW hospital in the greater Sacramento area may refer you to the Sweet Success Program for treatment and management of this pregnancy complication.
Working in conjunction with your doctor, Mercy Sweet Success helps you maintain normal blood sugar levels throughout your high-risk pregnancy so you deliver a healthy baby. The care you receive through Mercy Sweet Success is provided by our healthcare team that includes Mercy Sweet Success doctors who are perinatologists (obstetricians with extra training in high-risk pregnancy), registered nurses, registered dietitians and a behavior medicine specialist. A glucose meter is given with training to test blood sugar values throughout your pregnancy.
