State-of-the-art surgery suite for urology patients
Mercy San Juan Medical Center has opened an advanced surgery suite designed specifically for urology patients.
The operating room is dedicated to urology only and provides Mercy doctors with the latest equipment to perform a variety of minimally invasive procedures, which means less time in surgery and less time to heal in most cases. Our doctors work closely with a dedicated urology nurse to ensure you receive excellent care with the shortest possible recovery time. The dedicated surgery suite also means we can provide patients with improved service and shorter waiting times.
Some of the procedures performed in the urology suite include:
- Laser ablation to treat benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH) - or enlarged prostate
- Percutaneous and endoscopic treatment of kidney stone disease
- Bulk agent or sling treatment for incontinence
- Endoscopic removal of bladder cancer

The Urology Department at Mercy San Juan Medical Center provides evaluation and treatment for the urinary system in both men and women, as well as the genital/reproductive system in men.
