The Mercy Neuroscience Center combines the experience and expertise of neurological (brain) specialists at Mercy General Hospital and Mercy San Juan Medical Center to provide state-of-the-art care for the most complex of diseases that affect the brain. If you or a loved one needs specialized neurologic care, the Mercy Neuroscience Center offers:

  • A dedicated team of neurologists and neurosurgeons with expertise and experience in treating a variety of neurologic and brain diseases including stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, brain tumors, advanced neurovascular therapy, spine and brain trauma
  • Doctors who are available for emergency, routine and follow-up care for patients with brain diseases and stroke
  • The latest technology and techniques for diagnosis and treatment, including minimally invasive procedures
  • Sacramento’s only community-based inpatient rehabilitation unit with doctors and therapists trained to maximize functional recovery after neurologic injury
  • Two hospitals nationally certified as Primary Stroke Centers. This certification means they meet high standards for providing emergency and follow-up care for stroke victims
  • Stroke Teams - including nurses, physical therapists and other caregivers - who set the standard in the Sacramento area for stroke treatment, research and raising public awareness of stroke
  • A strong partnership with the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association, both committed to community education and awareness on stroke prevention
  • Neurological trauma services at a nationally accredited Level II Trauma Center
