Convenient location, expanded services for sleep disorders
The Mercy Sleep Center, which has served thousands of patients since it opened 20 years ago, has moved to a more convenient location that has doubled its bed capacity and ability to treat patients with sleep disorders.
Under the guidance of Medical Director Richard Stack, MD, and Coordinator/Technical Director Janice Herrmann - the same two who started a one-bed unit at Mercy San Juan in 1986 - the Mercy Sleep Center is now located off the medical campus at 3808 Auburn Boulevard, Suite 54. The new site is adjacent to Interstate 80, providing easier access to patients in both the foothill communities and the greater Sacramento area.
The Sleep Center, accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, offers the latest digital technology and several years of clinical experience, with care from Dr. Stack (board certified in sleep medicine) and a staff of registered sleep technologists.
The Mercy Sleep Center has grown from four to eight beds. At full capacity, the Mercy Sleep Center has the ability to see 48 to 56 patients each week.
